Outline specification for rebuilding of a new (unused) Trawler to a Research vessel.

In brief: 
A newbuilding of a 22 meter trawler same to stop and the contract was ended.  
Now a new designer in co-operation with the yard has made suggestions of converting the vessel to a researsch vessel.

Propulsion system will be diesel electric,
The drive motors will be reversible at speed range from 0  - 300 rpm. 
The motors will be coupled direct to propeller shaft which rotate fixed pitch propeller.  
Electrical power source are three (3) generator sets, of make Caterpillar C18, 662 Kw with 425 kW generators at 1800 rpm, 60HZ.
The propeller is of make Rice, diameter 2000 mm in kort nozzle.

The electrical system is 460/230/120 V and 24/12 for navigation lights and emergency system.
